Wholesale Upholstered Bed Quotation: 7 Details to Send for an Accurate Quote

A wholesale upholstered bed quotation is only as accurate as the request behind it. This checklist lists the seven details our export sales team asks for, shows how we turn them into a written quotation in our factory in Foshan, and explains the mistakes that slow a quote down.

What a wholesale upholstered bed quotation covers

Our quotations are written line by line. Each line is one model in one size and one cover, with its quantity. Around those lines the quotation states the packing (each bed ships in three cartons, with carton sizes and CBM), the trade term (EXW, FOB or FCA), the lead time and the payment terms. We do not publish a price list, because the price follows the specification and the quantity; upholstered bed pricing explains which choices move it.

The minimum order is 20 sets per order, and the 20 sets can mix models, sizes and covers. Standard models take about 20 days to produce; custom models take 30–40 days after the sample and specification are approved.

7 details for an accurate bed quotation

1. The models

Send model numbers or product links from our catalogue, for example from the Comfort Upholstered Beds (Series 3) or Premium Upholstered Beds (Series 5). If you are still choosing, describe your market and the look you want, and we will suggest models.

2. The sizes

State the mattress size for each line. Our standard sizes are 180 × 200 cm and 150 × 200 cm; other sizes are quoted on request. Our upholstered bed dimensions checklist explains why mattress size and overall size are listed separately, and the EU, UK and US bed size guide converts market names.

3. The covers

Name the material and the colour: top-grain leather, faux leather or upholstery fabric, with a swatch, a colour code or a colour from our cover range. Read choosing upholstery for wholesale beds before you decide.

4. The base and details

Choose a 10 cm steel-and-wood slatted base or a solid board base, and confirm the legs. Note any detail you need that differs from the product page, such as headboard height or stitching.

5. The quantity per line

Give a quantity for each model, size and cover, not one total. Line quantities decide how the order is cut, sewn and packed. See how mixed orders reach the 20-set MOQ.

6. Branding, labels and packing

If the beds carry your brand, say so in the quotation request: logos, labels, carton marks and assembly sheets are quoted with the beds. Our OEM & ODM for Brands page covers private-label work, and the export packaging guide explains the three-carton packing.

7. The destination and trade term

Tell us the destination country, your preferred port and whether you want EXW, FOB or FCA. The three terms are defined by the ICC Incoterms rules; our guide to FOB vs EXW vs FCA for furniture compares them for bed orders.

Example of a wholesale upholstered bed quotation request

A clear request can be as short as this table. Each row becomes one line of the quotation:

LineModelMattress sizeCoverBaseQuantity
1390 (Comfort)180 × 200 cmTop-grain leather, colour to swatchSlatted base8 sets
2390 (Comfort)150 × 200 cmTop-grain leather, colour to swatchSlatted base4 sets

Add the destination, the trade term and any branding below the table, and the request is complete: 20 sets, two models, two sizes and two covers.

How we turn your request into a quotation

Our export sales team checks each line against the catalogue specification and asks about anything missing. Standard models are quoted from their specification. For a custom size, cover or design, we write a specification first and recommend a sample; the upholstered bed sampling process explains the steps. The quotation then confirms the price per line, the packing, the trade term and the lead time.

Mistakes that delay a bed quotation

  • Sending a photo without a model number, size or cover.
  • Giving one total quantity instead of quantities per line.
  • Using size names such as king or queen without measurements.
  • Leaving out the trade term, so the quote cannot include the right costs.
  • Asking for a custom change without saying which model it applies to.

Each of these turns one message into several. A quotation request that covers the seven details can be answered in one reply. If your project is a hotel or contract order, add the room count and schedule; see Hotel & Contract.
